What a fantastic little tale to stumble across

I like how the story is going, rather good use of grammar, and only one or two misspellings. One small issue though, in paragraph 2 line 4 you describe the character Mariko's occupation (Or class?) as "a dark mistress, a masochistic woman who tortured those for information or merely fun." I believe masochistic means enjoys feeling pain, whereas sadistic is one who enjoys inflicting pain. Or I could be wrong and you mean sadomasochistic, one who enjoys both inflicted and being inflicted with pain.
