Very cute and inventive! Just the sort of fluff I needed, tonight! I did wonder if one line was a mistake:

'Aedon took longer than he had anticipated, and Garrett began to get nervous, checking over his shoulder for any signs of red. It would take a while for the moss to catch up, but that didn't make it any less eerie.'

Only just after, you refer again to the fact that he's blind. So...what is he doing checking over his shoulder for colour-ANY colour? Have I misunderstood? Or was he listening for something? ...it's my beta tendencies, sorry-I can't leave these things be without at least a comment in case it was a mistake and the author would like to fix it. 3

YAY! This is so cute! I can see Kaylie being this clumsy and Garrett reacting just as he did- ignoring her. The story is amazing and I love the dynamics between Garrett and Kaylie. Is there going to be a sequel?
