Ygrain33 3/6/12 . chapter 8Phew... Finally got through! Nice to see Lhaine finally set on the path to healing, though it's definitely going to be a long one. A good touch with Alistair's own helplessness at Fort Drakon, that definitely must have caused issued of his own. I relly wonder what you are up to in Kirkwall! |
Ventisquear 3/6/12 . chapter 8Wow, I didn't expect that to happen. :) Alistair's fear of losing Lhaine, and his protectiveness (also during sex) was sweet, but realistic, I liked that. I was a little bit suprised that Lhaine was surprised by Alistair's suggestion to top. But Alistair's reassurance and how Lhaine felt comfortable being in control were very convincing. |
JayColin 3/2/12 . chapter 8Meant to review before now, but story was too good and I just had to read to the end of what was posted. This is probably one of the best DA stories I've read to date and am really looking forward to more. I especially enjoyed Lhaine's talk with the Revered Mother, as every word was true. Judging by what I saw of her character in game and her almost comment in the story, I doubt Arlessa Isolde was all that impressed with Laine's arguments and probably won't be changing her opinion any time soon, but I hope that perhaps the Revered Mother might have taken his words under consideration at least. Keep up the great work! |
mille libri 3/1/12 . chapter 8Well, those boys were more eager than I gave them credit for - I thought it would be a while before we got there! I love Alistair's innate gentleness coming to the fore and leashing in his protectiveness. I find it interesting that Lhaine thinks of Alistair as the King so often - I wonder if that's a purposeful attempt to put distance between them, or a strangeness built during their separation, or something else. |
Ventisquear 2/24/12 . chapter 7I agree with Shaura, Lhaine is awesome. He was so perfectly Dalish during the talk with the Revered Mother. The hurt and anger for what shems did to his people were quite obvious. But I really liked that he didn't overdo it, that he remained logical and polite, it's always more efficient than hate and rage. And I agree with Alistair, he shook the Revered Mother's view. Maybe she will try to do something, not all Andrastians are evil and she seemed at least willing to admit the faults of the Chantry. It would be quite refreshing to see the story where things START to change. :D |
mille libri 2/21/12 . chapter 7Lots to like in this chapter! Lhaine's carefully reasoned and very realistic arguments, Alistair's very Alistair-like determination and idealism, and the strength they gain from each other. And now I'm nervous for Alistair, too! |
elfgirl72 2/20/12 . chapter 7Hi! I have a soft spot for tortured heroes so I have been really enyoing your wonderful story. So please keep on writing! |
gatorsnacks 2/20/12 . chapter 7I swear I commented on this story before lol .-. Oh well, I love how he told the Grand Cleric off, the things he said made perfect sense and I too thought about those issues of inequality and racism. This is my favorite chapter so far since it has alot of good things in it :) your future story stalker gatorsnacks |
lynn-writer 2/11/12 . chapter 6Beautifully written :) |
mille libri 2/8/12 . chapter 6I love what you've done with Alistair. He's matured and thoughtful, but he's still so very himself. And I thought the whole scene between Alistair and Lhaine was beautiful and honest and heartfelt. |
Ygrain33 2/7/12 . chapter 6Oh. Poor Lhaine. A couple of hours feeling good, and then back into the nightmares. Sadly, very realistic. |
Ygrain33 2/7/12 . chapter 5That was a truly eye-opening talk; definitely needed, given the nature of the arrangements to be made. That part with Shaura's revelation caught me totally be surprise, never expected that! |
Ventisquear 2/7/12 . chapter 5That was rather unusual proposal. Very clever idea with Shenly. It makes sense that she didn't go back to the Alienage. I also liked Lhaine's explanation about Dalish, why they won't all come to the new land Alistair gave them. I think with Alistair and Alfstanna, Ferelden will be in good hands. :) |
mille libri 2/2/12 . chapter 5At last everyone has their cards on the table! I liked the dynamic between the four of them very much. |
mille libri 1/28/12 . chapter 4I was anxious about the first meeting between Alistair and Lhaine, and I thought you did it amazingly well. Lhaine's issues still at the forefront, his overall sense of weariness still strongly in play; and balancing that, Alistair's eagerness but his almost overly sensitive willingness to be held at arm's length. |
