Frankly, I can completely see this happening on the show. But what I really love is the fact that Brennan knew why he did it and still forgave him so easily. Maybe, had it been right away that they'd talk about it, she might not have...but she understands him in a way no one else ever will and that's one of my favorite things about them. It gives the relationship a depth that no other TV ship has. And you showed that perfectly.

There's so much about this story that I love but mostly just how much you GET Brennan. It showcases just how big her heart is that she stood by Booth, encouraged and supported him in his decision to move on with Hannah, befriended her even and then still chose to stand by his side (like she always has and will :P) after his ultimatum. And in contrast, Booth couldn't.

So on point and in character. Thank you for sharing! )

You know, I love jealous/possessive Booth. I know I shouldn't but I do..however, I do know that in reality the whole jealous/possessive thing is not attractive. And Booth is lucky she didn't go ninja on his ass! I mean seriously...he had no right, and Brennan is a much better woman that I'd have been.

But...I did love the little flash back to S1 Booth. Why is it so hot to watch that man threaten someone with a gun to the throat? I mean it shouldn't be...but it really really is.

And so he justifies pushing the enter key to himself. Because he can't be happy for her that she's on a date. He's already a bad friend in that sense. He may as well just go ahead and be a really bad friend and look up this guy she's out with. If there's nothing and the check comes up clean, then he's just a crappy, nosy friend. If there is something to be concerned about, well, then he's an FBI agent with a partner who is unknowingly in danger.

Oh Booth:

"He has chosen not to think about how wrong this is."

And then I see better why he does what he does... and him being who he is, I like that you have him admit this fault of his in that he would do it again.

Nice back-and-forth narration - very fluid.

This is FANTASTIC. I LOVE that you don't gloss over this, that you have excellent reasons for them to make the choices that they do, part of which are based on time crossing awkwardly for them. I like that you let them be angry and not just angry but ANGRY...but, like they do, they don't talk about it and then things slip into the next case in a way that it doesn't get addressed. I LOVE that Hodgins brings it up because he's drunk...and he doesn't know what happened...but Angela does...except she doesn't (and should Booth tell her that the artist she's setting people up with or willing to set people up with is a rapist?). I like that Booth AD Brennan are brave enough, secure enough now, and determined enough to make the relationship work to TALK about this now. I like that Booth admits that, although his threats to this guy were because he was truly afraid for her, he would have found SOME reason for interfering no matter what. And them agreeing that "here is good" and forgiving...this is awesome and well-thought out and well-planned ALL AROUND. Well done.

That was lovely! Loved the idea of Hodgela and B&B having a double date and then the whole blind date going terribly wrong lol, but then Booth and Brennan made up :)

Hehe. So, this had me snickering, totally happy (from the slight angst), and then smiling. I can't explain the snickering very well without an example, but you don't seem to watch Castle. I shall try. Guy is at home, talking to... His buddy. Girl is at bar, talking to her friend. Guy starts to say something with obvious pleasure in his tone, like, "I had a great time with Girl last night. It was" And then BAM SCENE CHANGE and we see Girl at bar telling her friend, with an annoyed tone, "HORRIBLE. He thought he was funny, but I was really just," BAM SCENE CHANGES BACK TO GUY AT HOME, and he says, "enamored. Shes so interesting and..." etc.

Or, another example. Two people discussing case, kinda completing eachothers thoughts, pacing room, and then BAM they turn to each other and say "I know who did it."

I like that... That, and I noticed a variation of that in this fic, so it made me snicker. She was angry, he was angry, etc.
