Hello, nice to see someone write longer stories for this fandom and being around in general. Although I like MR Scratch in the game (can hardly wait for AN to come out), I love your rendition of him - the strong and silent type but still a bit childish. I found that scene where Alan helps him stop the bleeding oddly adorable.

Some suggestions on what you could improve, though: The first half of the first chapter feels kind of rushed with all the commas - My advice would be to cut down on them. Also, while this story doesn't need to wallow in angst (I'm glad it doesnt), the rather quick and hurried mention of Alice's death makes it sound as if Alan tosses their shared life and marriage over his shoulder just a bit too casually.

Otherwise it's a good fic, and I'm looking forward to reading more!
