Oh gosh, this was lovely. An excellent character study of both Peter, and Assumpta, getting an insight into her perspective. Both very much in-character (loved their banter at the end), and even in the narration you could hear Assumpta's voice. I particularly liked the finale line, "maybe she was doing alright too". Beautiful.

Ooo, I like it! It really suits the story of Peter and Assumpta, the way so much can be said, even when nothing happens. I look forward to reading whatever else it is you might be planning.
