Yeah, I can say that this was a really good fanfic :) I liked the way you described Audrey... I actually have nothing much to say to it... Hm... I loved the way you described her relationship with her teacher. I heard a lot about teacher/student relationship, and this I liked very much, the way you said it.. Although, I kinda missed John Wheeler... I know that having Cooper like the one and only love is really good, but I missed John and Annie... If I were you, I would have written that Annie and Cooper were together and John was with Audrey, but that both Cooper and Audrey still felt that they belonged to each other... But, of course, it's your fic, and I must tell you, I loved it :) Really good :) Love,

Laura

Totally loved this story. You really satisfyingly delved into the unique and special person Audrey is. And I loved the end - it was beautiful.

This was so perfect. Absolutely beautiufully written. It fit Audrey's character so, so well. I just loved it! Please write more Audrey\Dale (I like to call them "Hooper", hah) because this was AMAZING!

PS: Audrey\Dale was going to be a big part of season 3? Shoot me now :(

WOW! This was honestly the best Audrey-centric fanfic I've ever read. She's my favorite character on the show, so I loved this more than I can say! I liked how you came up with a whole backstory for her. It made so much sense, and everything she said and did seemed so much like Audrey. Please write more Twin Peaks fanfiction! I loved this SO MUCH!

Loved it! I'm literally speechless. Just...wow! I love Audrey, and I love Cooper, and I loved them so much together that I was heartbroken their relationship was abandoned. They were the best characters in the show, the ones with the most depth, and as a writer myself, I have to say they're the most fun to write because they are so deep and complex. This story is a perfect complement to the official Dale Cooper autobiography (can't remember the actual title) in which he details the loves of his life. You did a wonderful job of exploring her backstory. This is how I would have wanted their relationship to unfold in Season 3.

(P.S. I can't help but assume the name Klara Kralik is a subtle nod to "The Shop Around the Corner"... one of Old Hollywood's greatest love stories, I think! Nicely done! :D)
Colonel Cooper 2/11/12 . chapter 1
Audrey Horne, as exquisitely portrayed by Sherilyn Fenn, is not only the most complex and continuously-evolving character in Twin Peaks but, arguably, in the history of network television. A sweeping statement possibly but, as depicted for a season and a half certainly, Audrey was a walking, talking contradiction in terms, a chameleon in monochrome, an oxymoron of a sexpot in saddle shoes – okay, perhaps I’m going over the top now! Anyway, ‘A Horse of a Different Color,’ the debut Twin Peaks offering from the ridiculously talented Wonder Twins perfectly captures the many nuances and subtleties of Audrey’s character and hangs them on a perfectly-realised imagined childhood, that fully explains why she was as she appeared to us in the pilot episode – especially in the first sequence detailing the gradual estrangement from her father and family. The authors have the unique ability to use grotesqueries of language as a way of depicting the unique atmosphere of Twin Peaks that made it, in many ways, the show it was – love as a cancerous tumour and the offering up of entrails being among the most striking and deliciously deranged. Perhaps I’m a touch biased, in that I have the good fortune to regularly correspond with the authors, but if this debut offering is anything to go by, then the readers of Twin Peaks fanfic are in for something special when the Wonder Twins really hit their stride, and show us just what a unique and magical place Twin Peaks can be.

Okay, so you already know that I know absolutely zilch about Twin Peaks, right? I have no clue who these people are or what the H is going on, but the writing is so superb. I mean, really, it doesn't even read like fanfiction! I swear I'm reading a novel. That may be because I don't know the characters, but that's kind of exciting, actually. And even without knowing the back story I didn't feel lost or anything, I was intrigued! And this Audrey character is really complex and flawed and I love that. She falls for the wrong guy every time, bit who hasn't, right?

Were these books first, or only a TV show? I'm going to have to do some research on this series because it sounds really interesting. You mentioned it before, but after reading this now I'm really curious!

Great writing!

Great to have you guys back! I will PM you soon! :D

Wowwwww! Really, just wow! I think that might just be the best piece of TP ff I've ever read. You guys obviously have a super firm grasp on both the characters of Cooper and Audrey and made them seem so real here. I was always really sad when they didn't get together on the show and totally agree with you that they would have eventually found each other in the end. But this was fabulous. So true to the show and its vibe! Can't wait to see more Peaks from you guys. Your writing skills are amazing.

P.S. Love the name Delbert.

Oh dear lord, this was perfect! It still saddens me to this day that Audrey and Cooper never finalized their union after all that build up. But this was wonderful! Excellent writing.

Wonderful! I just loved this insight into Audrey - I feel as though she really conceives herself in a very particular, self-conscious way, and the way you showed her very special connection to Cooper was just lovely. And I enjoyed the connection to Elizabeth Taylor - did you know that Sherilyn Fenn played her once?

Hope to see more in the Twin Peaks fandom from you.
