Reviews for: The Exhaustion of Dawn

This was really good! Could you keep writing? Tell us what happens next? There is so much respect, love, and friendship between them, and it really seems like canon to me. :)

You had some problems with formatting but I'm going to ignore that. Because this was one of the best written stories I've seen in the Narnia section. I can imagine Digory being tired of the world and wanting to get away and Polly reminding him of what he should do.

After seeing so many angst-laden stories and other really-bad-in-general ones, your story was...incredible.

This. Is. Brilliant.

Wow. I have no words, just-wow.

Things I loved: Feminist Polly. Shell-shocked Digory (well, not so much, but well done). INSANE UNCLE ANDREW! (Atlantis, blood of virgins, fairy godmothers, all of it. "...approximately one hundred and eighty years old, or at least ninety-five" is one of my favorite lines ever.

The fairies. I am blown away and utterly in awe at the story you created for the Cottingley fairies, and the completely unexpected twist of having Polly and Digory be on on trying to make people think it was all bosh.

Thank you for this story.

Oh you know I loved this story would appeared in the NFE with the passion of burning suns. Digory and Polly are so wonderful. Digory's PTSD is so wonderfully done during a time when such things were so poorly understood and treatment options so limited. Polly is just terrific - so practical and supportive and their friendship shines. The ending between them is so wonderful especially, "How can we leave this world without defending it first?" "How can you think of leaving me here to defend it by myself?" Beautiful. A beautiful, beautiful story.
