Robert definitely shouldn't take Cora for granted. I loved how you ended this series of drabbles - just perfect! I'll miss them, though. ;) Thanks for sharing all these!

Aw, I loved it! What a great ending. I like that it wasn't just a traditional happy ending, because that isn't what they are; they are so many aspects other than just happy on the surface and I think this ending captures the myriad feelings so well.
Overall, I think each chapter you wrote did much the same! You seamlessly transitioned through so many different degrees of emotions and made it seem flawless.
Congrats for finishing such a wonderful story sequence :)
I eagerly await whatever comes next!

so, this is antigone - not sure what's going on with this new review thing - GREAT way to end it! his guilt is eating at him, which is a good place for him to start fixing what he helped screw up . . . loved it loved it loved it! it was all wonderful, start to finish! and cannot wait to read the promised future fics!

ahhh! the worst thing about this is that it's over :( :( this has been the most lovely fic and i have ardently enjoyed it with all my heart :) i always got the alert for the new chapters exactly when i wanted it, and there has not been one chapter i have not enjoyed! great work, well done! :D

loved this! it made me giggle hysterically (glad i didn't read it in public, would've been getting some really odd looks, lol!) - seems like a very cora thing, take charge in the important matters! ;-P

i would LOVE to see how robert will react to branson now, especially if the new grandchild is a boy (which i kinda hope that it is, because heaven forbid the irish radical chauffeur can sire a boy and the earl of grantham can't) - after 'the maid', i'll take my little digs at robert's ego any way i can - guess i'm just evil like that) . . . i also think that any hashing out of robert/jane could only help robert/cora . . . yes, it would be traumatic at first (angst does make great TV), but i think it would give both of them a chance to evaluate themselves and their marriage and (hopefully) come to a mutual understanding of where they are in their lives and how to move forward together - i feel like they're that quintessential couple that married young and thought they knew what each other was about, only to find that (as young people do), they grow up as they get older and sometimes grow apart . . . now, normally this happens a lot earlier (like, in their 30's), but with these two being in such defined social roles all their married lives, there was never any reason to change or grow up. . . it took the war shaking up the social hierarchy of a nation to also rock them individually (for cora, a good thing; for robert, a mid-life crisis with a housemaid who had a son) and as a married couple . . . totally interesting dynamic unfolding!

. . . and, yeah, i think this is the longest review i've ever been inspired to write for anyone (kudos to you!) cannot wait to read your next update!

As a Robert & Jane fan. I'm glad you didn't cut it as it was well written and excellent description of what's going through in Robert's mind when he sees Jane.

i'm still waiting for cora to find out about robert and jane. and then conspire together with violet and positively kill robert :) oh no though, i just always think how sad cora would be if she found out.

I'm sooo happy nothing went further with Robert and Jane; it would have been so much worse for everyone. I still wonder if Cora will ever find out about them... Probably not. :(
