This is an interesting fic. So many stories about the war are all "LOL, PATRIOTISM/FREEDOM!1one" It's good to see one that points out that war, especially civil war, is never that simple.

I also think that Tullius is a really under-rated character. I'm glad to see someone who can do the man justice. Of course, I've always been the kind to say "OK, nice and passionate speech but you're still full of crap." That probably accounts for my finding more in common with him than Ulfric.

Good to see that this is still going. It's nice to read a civil war story where the author doesn't feel obligated to copy every bit of dialogue and all the boring quest details. Looking forward to the Battle of Whiterun.

You have no idea how excited I was to see the update notice for this story in my inbox, and you have not let me down. The whole story reads like poetry, deep and intense, and I can almost feel the strain of war in the characters myself. I love it, and am looking so so sooooo forward to more!

Yay new chapter! Again, I absolutely love the thoughts of the characters. One in particular that struck me was when Tullius talked about how men and women respond to war, and how women respond with fury. That is very true, ad it's parts like that that make you as a writer seem very wise!

Aww yes! At last! So glad you've returned! I still adore this couple, after all, and Tullius is rather neglected on this site.

Great chapter, I was really glad she didn't decide to go with Hadvar, especially in front of Tullius like that. As always, I love hearing all of thoughts, especially when she's talking with Tullius. (When she asks him about the afterlife and feels closer to him for predicting his answer, although it was written more eloquently than that). The moments are so subtle but so relatable.

I'm really enjoying the story, hence why I added it to my alerts X3 ... you write very well and it's an enjoyable manner in which you like. Just the right amount of detail and dialogue, you also capture the characters exceptionally well. :)

I really like Tullius as a character, but since he doesn't like chatting with the player (too busy of course) he's a bit hard to get to know :D I like how you manage to show more of his (epic) personality and I'm looking forward to whatever comes next.
