Of course, I've read the previous Marnie stories, and this is a lovely edition to them. I knew the elf-queen was being too accommodating! So she got in a little revenge? I can totally see this relationship working; Steve had already grown very fond of Loki and accepting of his, umm, chaotic nature in the original stories. And there's no way he'd leave Loki in the lurch (especially now she's a woman - he IS from the 40's!). But poor Loki - she's got a bad history with marrying people she's fond of (due to Odin). Still, Steve Rogers isn't a simple Viking farmer. So... Great little story!

Well, this is different! I'm guessing Darcy and Loki are not an item in this story? I like the Steve/Loki bromance that you hinted at before the you-know-what hit the fan, and Steve seems like a much more interesting character now that you've gotten into his head. And it's interesting how Loki is able to change into a woman and actually BE female, and not just look like one. I really enjoyed this, and now I'm going to have to read those other stories that you borrowed from to get this one.

This was amazing. woman!Loki/Steve? I never went there in my head (and I go to all the weird places) and it's sooo perfect. Seriously.

And the waking up married Vegas-style? Genius. "We've never really talked about how you want to die! I don't even know." Of course that would be a conversation you have before marriage with Loki, as opposed to how many kids you want.

I love how the premise is so cracky but the execution is really tender at moments, including some serious conversation about the distinctions between men and women and their concerns.

It's also fun to see Loki stay in character despite not being in body...but I wish I had suggested that instead of wearing matching mint green shoes, he had decided to wear bright red Stuart Weitzman stilettos (not that I've ever owned any real designer shoes...but Loki would!)

This really blew my mind. I'm still thinking about it. I'm not sure if I like or totally hate the concept. But...Loki does have the ability to shape shift. Hmm...This is probably going to linger with me all day long. Well done! And a switch from the norm. Augh!
