From the beginning my love for this Bella has been boundless.

Edward- I hurt for him for how he aches when she pushes him away (among other things, obviously).
I understood the cheating.
Except then he tells Maribel "only you" and that confused me and brought up some nasty anger. So I hated him for cheating, but things didn't add up and I was confused. ( I did not guess, though, until the end. Unlike everyone else apparently. Mental illness in the header and Bella's state in the story, I took as just a dissociative disorder, rather than dissociative identity disorder, so you totally had me! ;) )
and now that it's clear his devotion was to her entirely, the entire time, he just kills me. And my love for this Edward may just be boundless as well.

Kinda ultimately tragic, that she gave him up and sacrificed herself for him and he was sacrificing everything for her, and now they've both lost each other and themselves because of her sacrifice (and complicated, lol

I was crying...lots...
not a fan of time period fic, but this was lovely, lovely done and as always such vivid characters.

You're not reinventing the wheel here. It is expected in its unexpectedness. To the mass, uncultivated reader it is exciting...but to the rest, it is boring. Fin.
