HarmonyLover 5/13/12 . chapter 14Aaah, the sweetness! Why couldn't we have had this in Season Six, again? Oh, right, because Sorkin and Schlamme left and the writers liked to torture Josh. Seriously, this is lovely, and just the right ending for this wonderful tale that you've crafted. Thank you for sharing it with me, and all of us who are still fans. :) |
HarmonyLover 5/13/12 . chapter 13I love Will. I love seeing the old, idealistic Will who should have been running Sam's campaign for the 47th. :) I also love Josh and Donna's conversation in this chapter; they needed to talk out their guilt, not just in terms of Donna's guilt about Burton, but Josh's guilt about Gaza, and why Donna left, etc. It's all very sweet and tender. You did a beautiful job! |
HarmonyLover 5/13/12 . chapter 12I know I've taken a terribly long time to review this, but I love this rewrite! Having Josh find out about the meeting with Burton this way is very dramatic, and while he clearly doesn't blame Donna, it provides a catalyst for the conversation. It's all excellent. :) |
sassie69 4/23/12 . chapter 14Excellent story, loved the ending. Thanks x |

alix33 4/23/12 . chapter 13"I spent that whole night in jail thinking you were dead, and it was because of something I did. You have no idea what that felt like." Her eyes met Josh's steady gaze, and shivered slightly when she saw the look in his eyes. She glanced down, embarrassed. "I'm sorry. Of course you do. Joanie." He was quiet for a moment. When he did speak, his own voice was choked with emotion. "I was thinking more about Gaza." "Gaza…" she looked at him in surprise. "Gaza wasn't your fault, Josh. Not at all." His shook his head. "We both know that isn't true, Donna. I'm the one who sent you there. You didn't have to be there, but I sent you anyway. I knew how dangerous it was. Those State Department travel warnings are there for a reason." "Yes, they are, and I read them too. I wanted to go to Gaza, Josh. I knew the risks. It wasn't your fault." She paused. "It's not the same thing. You were trying to give me an opportunity. I was carrying out a campaign strategy, a stupid, slimy, dishonest strategy that I never should have gone along with in the first place." - At least Donna realised that about Russell's campaign strategy. "We were talking about communications director for Will," Matt changed the subject. "What do you think, Josh?" "Sounds good." He glanced at Will. "Nice title, but don't get your hopes up about the salary." "Hey, I ran a campaign for a dead guy not so long ago. And believe me, right about now I'm missing it. After my run-in with Bingo Bob, I'm happy to go back to being a low-paid, idealistic campaign worker." "Sounds like you've found the right campaign, then." - Yay! |
EmLocke 4/23/12 . chapter 14Bravo! Bravo! |
FigmentII 4/22/12 . chapter 14I wanted more! I really liked the story and would have loved a couple more chapters of how it was resolved. Especially given that you had gotten the 'voice' of Matt Santos down, I would have liked to seen how he handled Russell as they went forth. Thanks for the story, it was good. |
jodiesto 4/22/12 . chapter 14really enjoyed your story. |

Tractor Girl 4/22/12 . chapter 14I've really enjoyed this fic and in a way am sad to see it come to an end. That said, I do love happy endings. So pleased that Josh stood by Donna, after finding out about Peter, and glad both Donna and Will found places on the Santos campaign. Thanks so much for sharing. |
Jayne Leigh 4/22/12 . chapter 14This is an incredible story. I really suck at reviewing lately but I have been reading this (Its actually the only TWW fic I've read in a long while) I loved all the drama and how you kept the character true. Loved that Will stood up for what he believed in and backed down up. And what a perfect endings! Great story! x |
markspectre 4/20/12 . chapter 12Very good so far. I hope to see more of this soon. |
penguin 4/15/12 . chapter 12 I love this story. Every character is written so well, and your pacing is superb. I cannot wait to see how you wrap everything up! |
Tractor Girl 4/15/12 . chapter 12What a great part! I guessed the meeting with Burton would come out and also that Will wouldn't be at the meeting, but I hadn't anticipated Donna's reaction. I'm now sitting on the edge of my sit, hoping Josh and Donna can sort it out - it being both their relationship and the legal charges from Russell who is thoroughly unpleasant man. Looking forward to more. |
