Aww very sweet ending. I love how their lives have taken a turn for the better. Jake as a college student studying marine biology and history completely makes sense. I can almost see him as a documentary guru. He could team up with a photographer and take pictures of marine life. But i'm getting ahead of myself. Looks like Michael has found his place in the world and i'm glad for them both. You did a fantastic job telling this story. :)

It looks like your wrapping things up nicely. I think Michael's father had a brilliant idea in letting the boys stay together in CA. I don't think their relationship being so fresh and new would have survived the difficulities of a long distance romance. :)

Poor Jake just can't get past what happened to them on the island. Not that i blame the poor guy. I think it might be a good idea to talk to someone if the nightmares persist.

As to Michael, i think Jake should have taken him up on his offer. After all he is trying his best and maybe some time alone will give the relationship room to flourish.

I like how the dinner party went and how Tommy's mom stepped in with information about Michael's Dad's engagement. Seems like a good plan overall.

I like that Michael had his own nightmare as it revisits what happened and solidifies Michael's commitment to Jake. The check came in a very timely fashion. Looking forward to seeing how the dinner goes and where it takes Michael and Jake in the future.

I think the shock of this is understandable since to this point Michael did tend to act very heterosexual. Its hard for the family to reconcile themselves to the fact that he is no longer straight and prefers to have a relationship with Jake. I just hope that they are able to work things out. :)

The nightmares are a nice touch. The bathing scene was a rather nice, tender moment between the boys.

I like the changes that you made from what happened in the movie to what happened in your story. The gunshot wound makes things much more realistic and dire. Excellent work.

I like how you merge this right into the pacing of the film. It is a seamless transition. Loved the description of the setting. The kissing was nicely written as well.

Oh jeez, I'm completely hooked on this fic! I guess I should go watch the movie on youtube, but I'd probably be disappointed when there was no boy kissage.

Its nice to see that Michael has cleared the air and given Jake less to worry about. Michael is nothing if not determined. I think this will go over well with his father. It may come as a surprise but over all their happiness will shine through. :)

Is Jake going to be okay? I hope his shoulder mends quickly and he is able to continue his relationship with Michael. I can't help but wonder if this story will end the same way that the movie did with Michael's promise of a joint business venture. I guess i'll just have to wait and see. :)
