Lovely little conversation between Janeway and Chakotay; I love that there's recognition of what they have and how there is potential there.

This was a priceless line: "I think Voyager will be considered the Marco Polo of the 24th century." - best analogy of Voyager's journey ever XD

I'm glad to see that KJ isn't conceited with her decisions; she knows that there are options and is determined to find them. I think for her the main guilt comes from the other decisions that she could have made instead of destroying the array, but for what it's worth, she's done a fine job as a result of that.

I thought that this was rather amusing:

"And yet, we can't really comfort each other, either."

"We could try."

She gave him a level look.

"Or not," he laughed. "Hope springs eternal."

I like that KJ is talking about things when they get home, and she's including Chakotay in her plans - that just shows how close they've become and what a big part of her life that he is. They both are. I also liked that there's some uncertainty in KJ; she's asking Voyager to get her and her crew home, because she doesn't dare be overconfident in that she will get home. She wants to get her crew home so badly that she will do anything that she can to make sure that the ship makes it.

Very nice, I really like how Janeway is questioning her command to destroy the array. I think it still would be on her mind.

I almost wish they had written this conversation into the show. That was so well done. Sometimes I have the impression that Paramount is afraid to commit characters to each other, and in doing so, never really reveal the inner workings of each mind. It ends up being a story about a bunch of automatons going about their business on a starship. Good for you, for sticking that in their face. :)

A very nice story among all the dreck being posted these past few days. I just can't see that Torres would have worn a white dress though, I see her more in her dress uniform and Paris as well.

Oh this was really good... and I liked the different angle that Chakotay put on it. There ARE some good things about being in the DQ as opposed to the AQ!
