CrushRed 1/7/13 . chapter 2You are a really good writer! I look forward to more of this story! |
purrfus 4/4/12 . chapter 2Is Marie Kessler dying of cancer in your AU, or just severely injured as a result of fighting? |
purrfus 4/4/12 . chapter 1Intriguing. |
XXAlmostInsaneXX 2/5/12 . chapter 2Hey! Awesome writing skills here, you make the AU setting actually believable with just the right amount of exposition of each character; letting the rest remain mysterious for now. That is a really good technique which can keep a person's interest in a story, especially one that is AU. Also, reading a Renard point of view story was a nice change, and so far his back story seems even more intriguing than actual canon. I would love to read more of this, there really isn't enough Nick/Renard out there, and your story has the potential to be something truly great. Please continue on with this, just waiting to see what happens when (or if, I hope it's when) Nick finds out about the Captain's bloodline, and how Aubrey reacts to the Captain going soft on the Grimm. Also, can you write a little more back story for Nick's Aunt? Until now, from what Renard seems to think, she sounds like someone dangerous. I've always wondered what kind of an attitude she had towards the supernatural, I think she would be as prejudiced against them as most of the creatures seem about the Grimms. After all the hyper fear that all creatures feel on coming in contact with Nick has to be explained somehow, and it would also justify Renard ordering her death. All in all, I would really like to see this continue, please go ahead and write more. Especially can't wait for the relationship between Nick and the Captain to build up and progress. Hoping to hear from you soon, HR. |
fieryred 2/4/12 . chapter 2 That was great can't wait to read more |
Pineapple Fetish 2/3/12 . chapter 2Just a slight nitpick - you switched from Ocèane to Océane once! (Not sure which you were going for, but the latter looks more correct to me..?) Aubrey seems quite interesting! As far as I could gather, she's Oceane's sister? Yet Aubrey does not seem particularly fond of her. My first instinct was to assume that Oceane was dead- but re-reading the dream/memory makes me think she betrayed Sean and Aubrey..? (Her husband and sister?) VERY INTRIGUING. Christophe is a poltergeist? I did not see that one coming, heh. This chapter was just as exciting as the last. I appreciated the brief look into Sean's past, and the ending- it makes sense, to have Renard kill Marie to protect his daughter. I mean, he can't let her live anyway, but with his paternal instincts urging him on, and such. I'm just rambling now, heh. All in all, nicely done. Eagerly awaiting the next installment! |
Phreakycat 2/1/12 . chapter 1Just as a heads up, Captain Renard's first name is Sean in canon. You can see it on his desk nameplate in one of the eps. |
JackyJo 2/1/12 . chapter 1 Well here's your one reviewer asking for more! I love Captain Renard stories and there aren't enough of them yet. So far the initial plot of this story has really caught me (banished prince, wonder what he did xD) and I hope you continue. Only part I was kinda lost on was the daughter part but then again it is a one-shot. Please write more _ In the mean time I'll have to satisfy myself with checking out your other stories ) |
Guest 2/1/12 . chapter 1 Please write more, this looks interesting! Never thought of those two together! |
Pineapple Fetish 1/31/12 . chapter 1This... is very intriguing! The little details you worked in - hints about what Renard had to do to make Portland HIS, the mysterious passenger in the vehicle with him, his exhaustion... I could go on, but I'll stop. I just loved it. I absolutely was NOT expecting him to have a daughter. That was quite a twist, aha. Though now I want to see father!Renard. I'm sure he would be awesome! I hope you will continue this! Nick/Renard is my OTP for Grimm, so. There can never be too many stories in that vein, as far as I'm concerned! That this one is very well-written and intriguing is icing on the cake! :D |
