The Logan chapter is by-far my favorite as he was the most in-character, IMO, although I would like to point out that it seems a bit out of character that he wouldn't swear no matter what. I could just picture him getting pissed off and swearing without meaning to.
Also, he may not drink or smoke at the Institute, but none of us can prove that's not what he does when he's away on little field trips to Canada. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he spent more than half those trips in a bar of some sort, although it is, IMO, completely understandable that he would not be allowed to drink or smoke at the Institue.
Good job.

Why make them so ANGRY?
Coward3 3/5/12 . chapter 18
These are great, you have all the charcters spot on, and it is definetly helping me think my own fanfiction over (I also hate random pairings of two charcters who hardly even spoke in the show).
Also, I'd quite like to hear from Multiple Man. I think he'll have mixed thoughts, in some stories he is far too wimpy and in others he goes criminal and tries to take "revenge" on the New Mutants for bulling him, which is a bit extreme. But, please keep this up.
I am glad your addressing a lot of issues. Sorry to hear about that hacking, that was out of line. Can't wait to read more! (oh and on that Wanda thing, REALLY? Who would ever think pairing her with Rogue was a good idea. Neither are what I would term "emotionally stable" and a pairing would make things worse.)
yes! Rogue. Sorry I pair you with an OC, but I feel that it's good for you. Okay, I'm done talking to the character. Nice chap, and the 3 previous. I saw you updated, and I'm like: "yay! a new chapter!" then saw it was like 10 new chapters. AHHH! Alright going back to reading them. I'll put a comment on at least the last one.
Actually, the KurtxWanda pairing is one the most realistic fanpairings that exists on this site, IMO. They have a daughter together in alternate dimension as someone already mentioned and it was insinuated in the last season of the show that she and Kurt may have liked each other.
Also, I think its vice versa with whole the style thing. Rogue seems more punk and Wanda seems more goth, IMO.
I like this story. Its very good, and your keeping true to the characters which I like. I agree 100% with you on some of the things you have mentioned. I also think you should write a letter from Gambit. :)
No problem, Artemis. We writers need to stick together, especially when it comes to the creepiness of loves that ought to be frowned upon ;-)
Anyway, good job this chapter. I think its cool that you pointed out that Storm is from Kenya. I don't think that's something a lot of readers aware of.
I think it would have been cool if you had made some mention of the Black Panther as she does end up marrying him. I get that he doesn't exist in this universe, but he's still a cool character, either way.
Just wanted to make sure that I got my main point across in my previous review.
You claim that the views expressed in each chapter aren't your opinions.
But you go on to infer things about the characters that were never mentioned in the show, such as the idea that Ray has no friends, only “friendly competitors", whatever that means and his own backstory.
You claimed that, "This is creativity in itself by interpreting what I think they would say." But if you're interpreting a character, you're expressing your own view of them. Thus, this is still your own opinion, albeit you're rather ineptly using the X-Men as a smokescreen.
"This is mainly for Random Troll, who sent me my second completely immature review. If you're planning on leaving the same thing, please just leave and let the people who actually enjoy this story enjoy it in peace."
To make this a complete circle to my other review, I will reiterate: this story is just your own bias and way of disparaging the creative ideas of other writers. "Random Troll" was right; the only reason you're writing this is to use the X-Men characters as your own mouthpiece to mock other writers. If you completely accepted their creativity, you wouldn't have posted this story.
You want people to refrain from criticizing this "work" (let me tell you, it's not a story), but then you go ahead and insult experimental concepts that other X-Men fanfiction writers have devised. You want to let your readers enjoy this story "in peace".
But it's the Golden Rule in this case: treats others the way you would like to be treated. Have you ever thought that if you don't want people to insult this story, than perhaps you shouldn't ridicule other authors for expressing their creativity within fanfiction?
Ignore this if you please, but I'm not afraid to call you out on your own hypocrisy.
And before you protest and say, "Well, if you don't want me to write this story, you're infringing on my creativity!", remember that I'm not the one claiming to accept creativity, and then turning around and deriding other writers for their attempts at unconventional, original ideas.
To clarify my position on the Kurt/Rogue pairing: it's not my thing, but I don't see anything incestous about it. They're not blood relations, they never were blood-related in the show or in the comics, and they never knew about each other until they were both in high school in either continuity, so they weren't raised as siblings.
To be honest, I'm more concerned about the fact that Amanda, who was raised alongside Kurt in the comics as his sister, went onto date him when they were older, and in the show she was apparently not his sister anymore, which makes the whole thing "okay". Um, no, not really. The difference here is that Amanda was raised as his sister, while Rogue wasn't. I don't really like either pairing, but Kurt and Rogue is the lesser creepy of the two.
I have no problem with Kurt and Rogue dating in the movie fandom, because neither of them were canonically related to Mystique in the movie, so they're just two people dating. Still not very interested, but it's less weird over there.
And thanks to "Vampirepenguin19" for the support. You rock, friend.
Anonymous 2/13/12 . chapter 10
You were hacked? I'm so sorry. I hope that you will be able to keep the hacker out in the future! Good luck!
Well, first of all, bra-freaking-vo to Artemis's Liege for getting your opinion out. Honestly, I also felt that FedUpXMenFanGurl offered some decent advice and I kinda felt bad for her for the way you called her out (it was a bit immature, no offense). Honestly, though, there is reason why I reserve these things solely to my personal profile.
Now, moving on then...
For the most part, I enjoyed the fic until I got to the tenth chapter.
No, I very well will not "leave the comics out of this" X-Men: Evolution was based off the characters originally displayed and I am so sick of reading fanfictions in which characters have all these weird, effed up powers and abilities b/c "In the show..." - that's not how it works in the actual Marvel universe. I once read a fic where someone broke through Adamentium and that someone WASN'T Wolverine, so if I feeling educating people on the importance of the facts that exist only in the comic books, then I will.
And I'm sorry, but this is something I will argue against until I drop freaking dead. Yes, it matters that Kurt dated Jimaine and not Rogue - he's foster siblings with both of them. How are you not seeing the hypocrisy there? And above all else, its SICK! Not to mention creepy.
Seriously, though, Idk how you can sit there and yell at people for pairing Kurt with Rogue and then give thumbs up to the people who pair him with Jimaine/Amanda. Its same the freaking thing. Idc what universe you're in - you could be in the DC universe and it'd still be the same thing.
Oh, and btw, contrary to what you seem think, yes, they are speaking through your views, which I wouldn't have a problem with if you would just come out and admit it instead of saying that you aren't. That's kind of the whole point of a fanfiction, I think, to display one views of a form of media through the art of story telling based off characters that are of someone else's creation. Correct me if I'm wrong. I didn't have a problem with it until you said you weren't.
And I'm sorry for this review. I really, truly am b/c usually I'm more mature than this and I try to be helplful with my reviews, but that A/N was just absolutely unnecessary and completely immature. Just as I'm sure you're going to say that this review is, but Idc. I'm stating my opinion, and if you don't like it that's too bad b/c its like I said, I was fine with your story until I got to that A/N. That completely unnecessary and immature A/N, which you insisted upon using to take up chapter space and precious hard-drive on your computer. So here is my advice to you - Take it down.
I've also posted A/Ns as chapters in fics and I regretted it. Why?
B/c it pissed people off, and all I had done was whined and complained and begged for acceptance - I was downright f*cking pathetic I admit it - even though I hadn't gotten a single bad review on the site the entire time my story was up.
So my advice to you as a writer, is to take it down, and send a message to whoever's reviews you have a problem with and post something to make people forget about your little rant. Or take down the story completely b/c like or not, you're gonna keep getting reviews from people like FedUpXMenGurl and RandomTroll and Artemis as long as you're writing a fic like this and, I have to say, I kinda agree with them b/c of your A/N.
Good job on the other chapters. Great job actually. Not once I did think you were out of character, although complaining about the fainpairings every chapter is starting a little lame.
Again, I apologize for this review b/c I'm usually not like this at all, but you A/N just pissed me off to no end and I apologize for that. I truly to do, but its the truth. Oh, and the Kurmanda thing will not end with me. I will fight against it until I die, so I'm sorry for that, but its my opinion and the opinion of many others, I'm sure.
Again, I'm so sorry for this review/rant. Please, forgive me and continue your fic.
So this is a very controversial story... I think that is a good thing for you, at least people is reading and reviewing, it would be worse if nobody said anything : )
