I liked the concept and the storyline. But, the ending left something to be desired.. Overall it was a great story..

And how is it that Masen works as an agent of inquiry? Would love to know more about him.

I know this is humor, and it was quite funny, but I actually cried for most of the story. I guess I take disappointments in life pretty hard. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the story very much.

Bella was insufferable and quite undeserving of Edward, I believe. She reminds me much of Austen's Emma Woodhouse.

You. Are. Mischievious. You have done better-written stories, but I'll bet this one was fun. I can't tell whether you're trying to channel Pride and Prejudice or Lady Chatterly's Lover, but I think you would have pulled it off even without throwing Rob in there. That's not fair!

I loved your story! How on earth do you authors come up with these amazing story ideas and wonderful dialog? For example:

“She sighed deeply, admiring her own strength of character...”

"This is the source of your outrage? The prospect of less fashionable relations invading your family tree?"

"Have you never been in love, Mr. Masen?" "Not long enough to do lasting damage."

“...if truth be told, quite disturbingly handsome, despite his inability to shave himself properly”.

“The rest of the room and its inhabitants faded into a wavy frame about the portrait that held her spellbound”.

The ending was perfect, because the conversation and interaction between the two of them at the dance would take another chapter. Although, that would be a good thing. I would love to know more about Edward’s life and if she would be angry with him despite being dazzled. It was so easy to fall in love with these two characters and want to spend more time with them. If you decided to continue, you would have eager readers. I’m always happy to find ‘T’ rated stories that are so well written!
