To quote Cal...it just gets better and better my lovely. I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again. You write these two so effortlessly. I LOVE IT. The caring compassionate Cal is simply a joy to behold. To see Gillian vulnerable whilst not pleasant allows Cal to flourish. All the time the relationship shifting towards something much more permanent than they have right now. Feelings are at a heightened sense, but yet still slightly in limbo too.
CANNOT WAIT to read more xxx

The care and compassion that Cal showed in this chapter had me tearing up no word of a lie. If ever there were any doubts how much he cares for Gillian, that chapter answered them. His guilt at undressing her overpowered by his thoughtfulness and love to make her comfortable. His fear for her breathing/choking on her own tremendous relief when she finally woke up. The dabbing of her face when she's that exhausted to even bother. His reassuring words:) So beautifully written. So very realistic.

Loved the chapter. Cal comforting and taking care of Gillian some more (*sigh*). Nothing to complain about. Well, maybe except that she *still* didn't realize that she is wearing his shirt and started to wonder how that happened. (Sorry, I'm pushy, I know. ;))

Not sure whether it is a good idea to leave Gillian alone in her hotel room but since she already had to take so much, I hope there is no more danger ahead waiting for her. And for some reason, I totally love that Cal intends to lie to the FBI to save her. This is so like Cal. He totally would do this without batting an eye.

I love the suspense! Even though I logically know it'll all be "okay," the emotional part of me is biting my nails. As for the other thing, well, I...must... fight... urge... to... bludgeon myself...or at least avoid buying... that damned coconut in the first place...

Aside from the writing itself - which is some of the best I've read in this fandom, period - my favorite thing about this story has been watching the bond you've created between them slowly come "alive." That's most apparent with this story arc; Cal knows it's changing into something deeper even still, but he can't quite name it for what it is. So perfectly "them." I just love it, from the first chapter to this one. Well done indeed!

This entire chapter was fantastic, from start to finish, and this line specifically was my favorite:
"And some irrationally jealous part of him wondered how many other men had seen it."
...And so it begins, right? Or at least, he's beginning to see his feelings for her in a new light, and I love that this story arc centers around it. His need to protect her beyond everything else, and that fundamental attraction between them every step of the way. I'm a huge fan of everything you've written, and this chapter is one of my favorites in this story. Loved it!

Thank you for giving us such a sweet Callian chapter. I loved every word and even if there was a lot of angst, it also was heart-warming and sexy and just what I needed. Oh, and the little reference to Kelli's tattoo was nice. ;)

For some reason, I liked the moment the most when Gillian gets out of bed, almost collapses, and Cal curses and comes running to help her. It felt so in character (she didn't want his help; he was so concerned); I could imagine it happening on the show easily.

Since Gillian didn't recognize, or at least didn't address, that she does't wear her dress anymore, maybe we get a small glimpse at the conversation between her and Cal when she does in the next chapter (*hint, hint*). ;))
