It was really, rather good. :) the one thing all we writers have problems with, is wanting to convey pain after an injury, obviously yes, it was a near death experience john went through, and this next part i myself wouldnt have known had my dad not been talking about it tje other day, but when the humvee in front blew up, and john jumped out, he would have already been running on adrenilin. Apparently, when your shot or injured during the adrenilin rush, you cant feel it. Which is why people are always patting all over their body. Just for future refrence. It is really good though. :)

awwww this is really good! i think this good make great canon as well, cuz john does have nightmares, and youd think sherlock would know about them. maybe next season?

I think it was lovely but I don't think sherlock woukld have asked John if he wanted water he probably could have deduced it. Otherwise awesome :)

Loved it! Seemed pretty in character, what with Sherlock not knowing exactly how to comfort until he stops actually thinking about it so hard.

Only issue is it's spelled 'humvee'. (I'm a bit of a military nut, so I pick up on these things.)

This is a really interesting view of Watson's injury. I've never heard any stories like this one before. Good job.
