Hey, this is an interesting concept. I'd like to read more. I was interested in the characters and startled to read that Alex's brother died, but it provides a good set-up. One thing, though - I think setting it in the next millennium is too far into the future (who knows what will happen then?) but that's my only criticism.

Wow, this is certainly an original set up! I like how you lay out the basic premise and describe things with great originality.

Have you ever read a book called TORTILLA FLAT by John Steinbeck? It is very similiar to your "new Robin Hood" approach!
