Nice drabble. It's good to take a look at the Epic Destined Romance of AkiHika from other perspectives, and as Akari has cared for Hikaru for so long, it makes sense that she'd have quite a reaction to finding out about them. But to answer your question about whether Akari and Akira had met, they have-she saw Akira come to the window at the Go Club to tell Hikaru he was waiting for him at the Go Salon, and after Hikaru's big, emotional reaction (slamming the window in his face and drawing the curtains then wangsting silently until Akira left ;-D), I doubt she would have forgotten Akira after that.

Also, she was at the 2nd Go tournament Hikaru participated in to cheer the boys on, so she saw Akira storm in and announce he was Kaiou's 3rd board/Hikaru's opponent. Meaning, she also saw Akira's huge outburst and the way he stormed off after the game and how Hikaru cried about it afterwards. So I'm pretty sure from then, she wouldn't forget Akira's name or face.

In fact, it's proven in ep 73 (I think), when she sees Hikaru walking him from school the day before his long-awaited match with Akira, and she pops up behind him saying, "Tomorrow's your match with Touya-kun, right?" So yes, she does know who he is and what he looks like. ;-)

But all that aside, nice story! I'd like to hear more about Akari's school life.
