THIS HAS TO BE ONE OF THE MOST PERFECT VALENTINE FICS EVER! IN HISTORY!

I think that... *wipes eyes* I think that its perfect... in every way. I just... A guy really shouldn't cry this much... You say I write like poetry... Next to you I am nothing. Was this your own work? This was just... Why am I crying like this?... Would it be weird if I said that it might be because something like this will never happen to me?... Anyway, their love always leaves me breathless but you bring such... such life to it. You make it breathe with a passion like no other and your balance of styles is just mesmerising. If only the world was filled with more people like you. I know then that life's woes would be much more bearable. I only wish... I wish I could meet you... What do I think? I think this is one of your best pieces so far. The way you described the first opening sentence I felt my heart collapse with a wrenching pain like no other... I just... seriously, from the first line, Merlin's sorrow was brought forth with such vivid heartbeats as he felt his entire soul crumble under the fact that his Arthur... his lifline wasn't here. Your use of just saying '... nothing' produced Merlin's loneliness as a vast cold place were his happiness was screaming like a rose in a bud... forever locked under time. Yes... there was something going on at the company - therefore Arthur wouldn't be here as much but... Arthur wasn't just a simple boyfriend... he is Merlin's heart, cast under the spell of eternity. The contrast was just heartbreaking as Merlin thought of everything that his heart would have to be without. He seemed hollow even, as he thought that was going to be no snuggling... no whispers of love... no burying his face in Arthur neck... no sweet caresses as Arthur squeezed his arse for a more intimate climax... You made their love to shine so warmly and with such a glow that now... Merlin seemed torn and even dead inside. The only thing I believe that kept him breathing was that he'd still see him... and that he'd be off soon. On the 14th... Which brings me to comment upon the romantic setting of the left notes and the growing roses. I fell in love with these words and how you used them. The first was of such eternal devotion... how Arthur would always be there for Merlin no matter what and how his only reward... only wish was to be with Merlin still. It expressed how he cherished his Merlin and how his heart... was Merlin's completely. It conveyed how whenever Arthur was with Merlin... his breath was stolen. Merlin's reaction was just so heartwarming, feeling his heartstrings softly weep and leap onto his Prince, loving Arthur, worshipping his God who made him happy so. The next poem brought around feelings of how Arthur cherished the night and loved the morning... it expressed how all Arthur wanted, all he desired... was to melt in Merlin and feel their hearts beat as one because... when stripped back that is what they shared... a heart. A living, breathing beating between them that nothing could compare to it. Phone Sex?... It was so adorable how things esclated in his yearning. The third made Arthur's affection shine - how even if he could have everything in the world... nothing would compare to the rich love he felt when Merlin's lips were upon his. It made Merlin so unique and expressed how in Arthur's life... Merlin was the sun and brought him the light. It was so brilliant - how Merlin made him his favourite meal and got naked... asking Arthur which he wanted first... and the fact that the food wasn't even touched... Merlin and Arthur making sweet passionate love into the night... it protrayed how they pined in thought about the other. And the last... the forth... showed... showed how Arthur was so hopelessly devoted to Merlin in his love. It conveyed how Arthur was completely at Merlin's mercy... the use of 'fool' and 'belong' brought such imagery of Arthur being not only totally smitten with Merlin but - knowing that Merlin was the very air he breathed and the reason why his heart beats... especially at the last line... Arthur is completely Merlin's, completely surrendered... completely intertwined and lost in his emotions for him, and By God... did I cry

I think I've cried way too much.

The fifth poem was so perfect in describing how Merlin was Arthur's beacon of hope, his light in the darkness and it was just such great imagery, of how whenever Arthur looks upon Merlin, his heart begins to sing and nothing else matters. It was such so heartwarming, how Merlin was Arthur's peace and all he needed. It was also quite amusing how Morgana didn't believe Arthur would do such a thing... but after seeing the look upon Merlin's face... even she was able to recognise that both of them were so well and truly lost in love. I really liked the sixth one, it was so SWEET! Again, your choice was another highlight into their relationship. It was just so beautiful, how Arthur described Merlin as everlasting and so special. Both metaphors centered around the idea of flowers and how Arthur is just so captivated and mesmerised by his love and can't see living without him. Truly amazing. This sweet and short number seven was incredible. I mean, the way it reflected what happens in the series also - how Merlin's love is forever steadfast and constant, always falling for Arthur even if he is snapping at him... Their devotion was then expressed all the more in number eight. I loved how in this one it was all about how Arthur just can't stop thinking about Merlin... how Merlin is now always on his mind and he can't concentrate on anything else. It was just so tender. And this was conveyed with nine. It was again, one of how Arthur thinks of Merlin... but this one was different somewhat, for it was about how he can't stop thinking of their future and how they're destined for each other... it was most heartwarming, to know that Arthur wants to spend the rest of his life with Merlin. Number Ten... as to be one of my favourites, for within four lines... you were able to pick out the detail of how Merlin is Arthur's heart. It fit so perfectly, Arthur being the arrogant man he is... then finding such a wonderful person, finding Merlin and in a heartbeat... he saw the ravishing colours of love and made the promise of forever in that moment... when his eyes met Merlin... that whole idea of how Arthur believed in love and gave his heart so completely to Merlin was just... so blissfully tender. And here... when an exhausted, puppy-eyed Arthur came home... it was so intimate how Merlin massaged him and worshipped him - Arthur his God. With eleven, again, sweet thoughts of their eternal love. It was so cute, how whenever Arthur is sad, all he needs to think about is Merlin and a smile shines upon his face and a lightness fills his heart. Number twelve was most tender for many reasons. My tears were caught off guard at its intensity. Again, it was so complex in its simplicity. Arthur's devotion was protrayed, how he'd always, forever more look upon Merlin with a loving light, never seeing him as bad... how he personally; no matter what other's thought; knew that Merlin was the one because... life was right... and that sense of heartfelt freedom was just so liberating. So affectionate and passionate in its flame. Merlin was painting on the box? WHAT DID HE DO? Poem thirteen *by this point I was also scared about the roses wellfare* was just so fluffy. Seriously, I can totally see Arthur's heart just melting at seeing Merlin as he lifts his sorrow, as he lifts Arthur into the air where he belongs. Just stunning, also how he thought of Merlin as such a unique, amazing gem of a being - his shining sun and his everlasting moon. But what caught my eye the most was what Merlin had painted on this box of hearts... Merlin had drawn a picture of them?... My heart swelled so much at that point, thinking that in that moment Merlin must have felt so happy and so safe in Arthur's arms. The way he laced in their names and painted hearts around it... How deep was Merlin's love? It was just so incredible to just even just a small glance into his heart as he intertwined their names, praying that they would be forever. Which made it hurt all the more as Merlin found that Arthur was close to tears... The complete and utter wave of remorse and guilt that wept across Arthur's eyes as he explained how he thought he'd wasted all of this and let Merlin down... the depth of the effect was just weeping his bleeding love. And Merlin's reassureance of how everything was still perfect just raised my heart to new wonders. The way he wrapped his arms around Arthur and tried to earse the pain... hoping he'd then feel the same... as he told him that they still had the night. The way he caressed his vow of love into Arthur's ear was also such a heartfelt demonstration - Arthur reflecting such endearments. But what was the most amazing day was indeed the fourteeth itself... Merlin's heart seemed to form a scar at not having Arthur with him... which made the moment he opened the door to Arthur all the more breathless. Merlin seemed in a daze as Arthur's face was filled with sunshine... and their love was melted into a kiss. This poem was just so completely Arthur. It explained how Merlin accepted him for all that he was and loved him despite and/or because of his faults and flaws. Arthur knows that he isn't perfect, but he tries so hard for Merlin and the way that he realises and knows that Merlin loves him with such an undying loyalty and such unconditional love... Arthur's very heart seemed to be trapped in the ink as it whispered its love to Merlin within his head as he read the confession. The promise to love Merlin forever, well... Merlin himself seemed to be starry, teary eyed as he leaped into Arthur's arms, knowing he'd surrender everything for just one more moment with him. And it was here, that I found myself crying as they sealed their love.
