Ignore what people say. It's up to you what you do and I for one have more respect for authors that don't continue their work just because people want them to. I mean yeah, I enjoy reading your story but you have more important things going on so you shouldn't have to worry about the idiots who will complain.
Plus there are more important things than fanfiction like your family and grades so choosing them over a fanfic is not a bad thing.

Hey, I'm sorry to hear about your mom, I'll keep her in my thoughts. Nobody has the right to be mean to you about not updating, you're going through a tough time. High school was hard for me too (I just graduated in 2012), but mostly because I never went, lol. Just do your best not to miss school, pay better attention, and take some notes. I like how this is a Hangover-fic where the girl isn't one of the boys and practically Phil except female and with them every step of the way. These are seriously hard to find, and to be honest, most of the Hangover-fics are basically one and the same. So creds to you for not writing it just like every-fucking-one else.
