Never thought I'd be reading a fanfic of one of my favourite novels but I'm glad I am! You've captured the tone of the book really well here and your richness of description is exquisite. This sentence really jumps out at me especially: "His eyebrows were likewise thick and bushy, and the blue orbs beneath them held fires undiminished by the departure of their companion" - it just flows so well. XD Awesome atmosphere and imagery all around.
