I really like this chapter. I feel like this story has a lot of potential. If you ever update I'm definitely going to keep up with this. :)

A friend of mine has, as an LJ interest, "all the fictional women you hate," and an essay explaining said interest. I think, after reading this fic, I will have to add Millicent Bulstrode to my own personal list of women I love who are disliked/ignored by their creator/fandom. Thank you for giving her a voice, and such a good one. Because she deserves it.

Please update this story. This chapter made me like Millicent and I'd like to know more about her.

I'm a bit of a cat person (rather like Ginny Weasley is purported to be) so when Hermione said Millicent had a cat, well, I couldn't really find it within me to dislike her anymore.

Also, she's barely ever mentioned, though infrequently is equated to something of Pansy's answer to Goyle. I wish Rowling would give the Slytherins a bit more depth (I wrote a bit on Parkinson, but it's not post-worthy yet) but the series IS about Harry. I'm told Malfoy gets to be a bigger prat in the sixth book, but I'm boycotting it - ought to have boycotted the overwhelming majority of the fifth as well, but that had too much action - I think I'm going to be eternally stuck at Slughorn's party.

I hate Slughorn.

It's years and books since you wrote this and we haven't really learnt very much new about Millicent in that time. She's still tall and plain, she has (or had in second year) a cat, she fought Hermione hand-to-hand in Lockhart's duelling club (it's amazing that wizards so frequently use physical force rather than magical - even the Death Eaters in OotP frequently resort to pushes and shoves) and, as a member of Umbridge's Inquisitorial squad, she pinned Hermione against the wall of Umbridge's office. Nothing in that to make her evil, though I'd say it's odds-on that she's not fond of Hermione. (But then who is, other than Harry, Ron, Ginny and readers? I'd say she comes across to the Slytherins as a snotty-nosed up-herself cow.)

God one! Millicent definately deserves her own story, and this is a promising start. I like her robust, sensible wiew on the world.

I could handle some more of this! Good stuff. Not that JKR lets Pansy off scot free - she's got a pug face, which doesn't sound very nice to me.

Damn right Millicent deserves her own story! I am very much attached to the bit characters in the series. I very much enjoyed this, especially the Pansy interpretation. And you mentioned Lancashire at the start, so kudos for that.

Excellent. The best fics are the ones that are creative, that draw on Ms. Rowling's world. You succeeded most admirably.

I like Millicent's background, her unique personality.

Odd way to end it, though. Pansy and Millicent didn't have any particular relationship that I could see of in the books, so I don't understand the meaning of the last line.

This is pretty good, and very original, as far as I can tell. There are very few fics that look at Milicent in a good light--though there was that one when she had became a handsome "young man"...

I am messing around in your author list and found this little gem. Millicent is worthy of her own story, because frankly, more of us gals are Millecents than Pansys.

If I ever do write a fic, I'd have Millie in it- and not make her good looking.
