Ohhh i've never played Final Fantasy, but this sounds great! UPDAAAAAATE!

Interesting start. For one thing, we have the immediate curiosity of who the narrator is and when the present day is. Grandfather-character was traveling pre-miasma, but clearly the present is set during or post. Considering the time frame of miasma, it seems most likely that it is during...or are you going to mess with the timeline and have it be after?

I am curious to see more of this story.
