This might make a good epilogue for the movie, seeing as how the inspector was bitten at the end.

But it would be put in the deleted scenes on the DVD Special Edition.

Not a bad introspection on the fate and nature of one msn who would become a monster. But at least he understands what Lawrence went through before he died.
