I think you should make this fic longer, is so greatt. :)

Thing is, this is what Spike might have felt if not for one thing ... He asked for the soul. He specifically went to Africa to get the soul. Not that he would go spouting it around though. He probably would feel too embarrassed to tell anyone.

Poor old Spike! Not that he doesn't deserve it, but he takes it hard. This was very well done, and probably very very close to how Spike's going to react when season 7 rolls around. *whimper* God . . . it seems so far away . . .

I think Spike probably did intend to get his soul restored. It is in character, actually. His emotions, including love, control all of his actions. He reasons that if Buffy loved Angel when he had a soul, she can love him if he had a soul. Besides, think of it this way: he wants to hurt humans but is incapable of doing so. Since he can't seem to become capable again, the next best thing would be to remove his desire to kill. Now, will Spike be a souled vampire, or will he be human? Because, if it's just his soul he's getting back, how in bloody hell is he gonna prove it. And will he still act like Spike, or will he revert to William the Bloody Awful? My theory is that, unlike Angel, it won't be guilt he feels at his actions but probably nausea. William seemed to have a weak stomach. I dearly hope he loses his soul though. Giving him one is the WORST decision that could be made.

Really. He needs to keep his mouth shut once in awhile. I always says what he thinks. The least he could do if be specific. Then this would have never happen.

why does everyone assume he DIDNT want a soul? I mean come on people! I know its wicked-out of charecter but Spike has been that way all season, great fic by the way i just dont get it

*chuckle* Good projection of what must be going through his mind ... after the mind-numbing pain of being resouled ceases. Season 7 should be interesting!
