Reviews for You Will Never Know
QueenOfQuiet17 10/15/12 . chapter 6
I love the internal conflict that Karen has in this chapter. It's incredibly realistic, having a dream like that come to fruition and then immediately feeling the guilt. The thoughts going through her head about ruining her marriage when it's clear that her relationship with Stan is barely a relationship at all adds a great complexity to it all. It's quite fantastic, actually.

Glad to see my melancholy fix is back :-)

I love this. The way Karen depends on this connection with Will, and her fantasy, is heartbreaking but so real. And I love that you take a darker approach to Karen and Stan's relationship; the fact that she's toying with the idea of suicide was an unexpected but fully impacting way to drive home what has already been built about them up until this point. Let's hope the autumn season keeps the creative flame burning for the both of us, because I love where this is going.
QueenOfQuiet17 7/8/12 . chapter 4
What a great way to start this story up again :-) The way you portrayed Stan here really emphasizes his apparently blatant disregard for their marriage, and that contrasting with Will's kindness was an excellent balance. That last line was beautiful, dropping a bomb like that with such a casual air. It was really affecting.
QueenOfQuiet17 7/8/12 . chapter 3
I don't know how I missed this one the first time around...but god, I love the MoMA.

This exchange between them is excellent. I love the subtlety of Will learning a bit more about Karen as they walk into the museum, just by the staff knowing her name. And her decision to deny her feelings about everything-her marriage, Will-brings the melancholy element to it in a way that is so real and relatable.

Okay, so I am not the best at giving reviews, so bear with me.

I am loving this! You have a talent for getting into Karen's head. You capture her vulnerable side very well, and I'm obsessed with her and Will together. If this ends sadly, I'll probably have a breakdown of some kind. ;)

QueenOfQuiet17 3/27/12 . chapter 2
I like Will's attempts to get to know Karen and spend time with her; it's a great contrast to what we've learned about her marriage to Stan in the previous chapter and adds fuel to the fire when it comes to her lust for Will. I also really love how you dropped in little hints of Karen's struggle not to let any of her true feeling show. It made the chapter that much richer.
QueenOfQuiet17 3/27/12 . chapter 1
I finally got a chance to start reading this, and I have to say, I'm loving the start of this. You've set it up really nicely with an intense loneliness living in Karen, somehow making that instant fixation on Will make sense. I can't wait to see where you take this.
