That was really well done.

You had both of them completely in character and their voices were so spot-on I could see/hear them as I was reading.

I loved Monroe helping Nick with his fear and having their trademark snarkiness kept it from becoming too mushy or over the top. I particularly liked the back and forth about Nick wanting fish in the story and Monroe's half serious complaint about doing all the work. The fact he kept slipping in little bits of lecturing about Nick's recklessness was also very amusing.

I smiled when it was revealed Nick had a phone all along, and the fact Monroe had one too but had forgotten it in his rush to help Nick; that was funny and sweet at the same time.

This was a lovely and amusing glimpse of their friendship which could easily have been in an episode. The wonderful quote at the end was just the icing on the cake :)

I really like this story, it's sorta cute in a brotherly way. :)

Oh I have so many 'coming out of the closet' jokes in my head right now. Loved this story. Love Monroe being all comforting and careful but still unable to rein in the sarcasm. Hank to the rescue!
