I really like this fic. What you did with Obito was great. I didn't want him to die either, technically 'cause he's not under the rock the Kyuubi won't be released and therefore Minato won't die! ...Hopefully, 'cause I really like Minato.

I enjoy how you've done the growing friendship between Kakashi and Obito. The story behind his eyes was genius as well. The whole snake business was pretty funny too.

There are occassionally errors, but they are very few and far between. I loved all the aspects of this story but I'm not very good at explaining why and what it is, so sorry on that. :\

So, seeing as this is AU, what will happen with Naruto and the Kyuubi? Is Kushina going to a common sight in this story?

I like how you portray Obito/Harry's character here. He is the Uchiha Oddball (with his morals and unlucky/strange steak that seems to be following him around) and will just simply continue to get odder.
The other three are also very much in character and well written. Kakashi with his utter stubbornness and narrow horizon, Minato with his caring and sensible attitude, and Rin with... being Rin.
So starting now I'm waiting for new chapters here too. xd
On a side note I wonder how everything (particularly on the Shinobi side) will work out now, since Obito won't become Tobi and technically there is still a war to be fought before it can be considered to sent a certain someone off to a certain school...

You were right about the whole Harry/Obito thing. I've never heard of that version, and so far you are doing a fracking amazing job of it! :D

Um, here's a suggestion for Kakashi's sight problem. I agree it would be neat that Harry/Obito gives his teammate one of his old eyes, but as for the actual sight problem in the old eye. Depending on how serious Kakashi's injury is, he could wait until the team goes to the Magical World and then see if there is a solution there. Either a potion or magical contacts or whatever.
I really can't see Minato, Rin and Kakashi letting Obito go off to some strange place alone just to learn how to use his strange abilities.

Just now reading this story and having read the latest chapters of the manga, oh god, that would be an amazing twist...

xD I know it will probably go unimplemented, but one can only hope...

I enjoyed how u didn't rush Harry being taken from the Dursley’s, u gave them prescriptive and then actually did where the Uchiha's came and took him.
I really like how Obito comes off he feels very Obito to me, I loved his first talk with the snake and his helping the old woman and that his late excuses were true.

I liked the use of the snake in saving Rin and how Obito survived. But I think that there should be more views from the other characters, sometimes it feels too centered and I think there could be more conversation - actual talking, sometimes it also feels like there is more inner thoughts and descriptions and such.

For Kakashi's eyes - he shouldn't have Obito's since he had them removed because they were defective, it wouldn't make sense for him to have them. I'm not overly opposed to him getting a replacement in the magic world... Speaking off I think year 3 makes the most sense because Obito is 13, right? In the books Harry was the age (teen) of his year. So I just think that it should be kept that way. Granted the 3rd year isn't all that action packed with Voldemort but I don't think Obito and his team should jump right in with dealing with him. Also if Obito/Harry has been absent then how does Voldemort come into play? Year 3 would be a nice introduction I believe.
