His offer surprised me quite a lot as did her reaction at it, and both of those things worked very well in this story. You captured the characters perfectly; despite the unexpected situation you created they were acting very true to their original selves. There was so many things in this story I loved: the POV, the dialogues, the way you described their surroundings with only a few words, and how you created a well-rounded story instead of just writing about how they've been together, or that I saw absolutely no errors in grammar or vocabulary.
