What a sweet story! Touched my heart.

This is a nicely written little ficlet. You write confidently and describe well. My only suggestion is that the beginning conversation between the parents seems a little short and lacks detail, and the boys' reaction at the end is a little bit abrupt. It'd be great, I think, if both those scenes were expanded for detail so we can really feel those emotions.
