I haven't heard a good G1-centered origin story for Unicron. According to the latest Transformers cartoon, Unicron was the archnemesis of Primus (who is Cybertron). But I really like your storyline a lot better. And it makes better sense than Hasbro's own backstory on who Unicron really is, too!
