What book or movie or whatever is this fanfic about? I hate to say you've put it in the wrong category, but if this fic is about the Tears of Artamon trilogy I don't see the connection yet. Of course, you could always make it evident later in the fic... IS that what you're planning? Will Gavril or the Drakhaouls or Kiukiu or someone be making an appearance later on? Will your modern-world characters fall through a portal into Rossiya? Or, maybe, is this fic based on a totally different book by Sarah Ash?

If it's anything like that, an author's note or note in your summary would be very helpful, to tell us readers what we're looking at. If this fic is for something else altogether, though, you'll probably get more readers and more reviews if you post it under the right setting. And you do deserve to get as much of the spotlight as possible for your work.(smile)
