Good story. You definitely tackled a difficult subject, but you handled it extremely well. I was half expecting him to confide in someone though, maybe his dad or Virgil? Or maybe just to Kaya. Sounds like something might be there between them, but then I can't help that it might be that 'hero's complex' that people seem to love until the drama's over.
But it's a great story. It was a unique perspective, seeing Scott so vulnerable.

I read this fic ages ago, and I was delighted to find it again. It really made an impression on me. Poor poor Scott. They really do put themselves in a position that makes them a target, and I love a fic that can examine that in an adult context.

And this is pretty adult. You handle a horrific subject-matter in a very appropriate and careful way. I like that you don't need to graphically portray the incident to examine the results.

Once again you've written a really likeable OFC, and once again my only complaint about this story is that there isn't more of it :) To keep them on the run longer would have heightened the feeling of panic and fear, and given Scott longer to sink into his darker side in reaction to what had happened.

I really felt for him when he opened fire on them. I liked his subsequent examination of whether he was relieved or angry that they survived. Poor guy, it's interesting to watch him so torn between the person he feels he should be and the person who has grown out of all his experiences.

And I loved Scott especially in the last chapter :) His insistence on Brains' silence is so perfectly in character, as is his gorgeousness and charm taking Kaya out at the end. What I wouldn't give to head out on a date in TB1! All in all a very exciting, thought-proviking and satisfying story :) Thanks very much!

That cult stuff really creeps me out! Poor Scott; though he wouldn't want sympathy, and poor Brains: being snapped at by Scott can't be fun! Glad he ended up okay-ish in the end. Xx

This is horrifying. Poor Scott will be scarred for life. I hope that he will retain some dignity after this evil treatment. These (people) who did this make me so angry. I hope Scott can get revenge. Very intense update, update soon.
