mo 1/4/12 . chapter 38 Absolutely spectacular! I just spend the past 5 or so hours straight reading it and it was a VERY good use of my time :)
Your word choice was wonderful, I loved having to look up some of the words. (Although, oculars as eyes was a bit odd). I really enjoyed how much effort you put into your writing, into developing the characters and their relationships. Even characters like Selsha and the Captain were quite well-developed. You even thought out and explained personal philosophies and how those philosophies and interpretations changed through the course of the story.
You even thought out convincing similes and metaphors that made sense in the context of the story.
The whole work was a work of art, and you are a wonderful writer.
Good luck in your future endeavors.
May the Force be with you. |
Emaelin 12/22/11 . chapter 38Gaaahhh I love you! And your story! I recently rewatched the first two episodes and found myself wondering what it would have been like if Obi-Wan (my favorite character) had fallen in love with Padme instead of Anakin (who I think was rather an arrogant little snot at the time). So I went out on our lovely fanfic site here and discovered your story. It's taken me two nights, and nearly seven hours of solid reading to finish it, and I've loved every minute of it. You've captured the spirits and personalities of the existing characters brilliantly, and your own insights into their heads are marvelous. I love your original characters, especially Brummel, because it strikes me as so realistic how his side of the story turned out: tradgedy after tradgedy, followed by eventual peace.
All of your descriptions in this whole thirty-eight chapter epic are so vivid, so image-filled that I found I could picture everything perfectly clearly in my head as I read. Darth Ovid was particularly good. Your battle sequences are incredible, it was almost as if there was a movie playing in my head, just produced from your words.
Overall, incredible job. I hope you continue writing, as you have such a gift for it. Hugs and cookies, ~E |
mercuryfire 8/25/11 . chapter 38a rather epic tale. i'm glad Brummel survived. thank you for taking the time and effort to write this |

Charlotte Thornton 5/27/11 . chapter 38I loved this story. I didn't even know people shipped Obi-Wan and Padame, until I was recced this story. I really enjoyed the journey the couple went on. The action scenes were great, and the oc's were well thoughtout. All around a great story. Thanks so much for sharing. |
charliebrown1234 12/19/10 . chapter 38Holy cow! What an epic! Truly a great edition to the Star Wars world! This was very, very good, and I hope you write many more Star Wars stories in your writing career here on fanfiction.net. Keep writing and keep smiling!

littlelionluvr 6/6/10 . chapter 38Wow. I found this after reading a recent chapter of the Mercy Seat; it took me a few days to get through it but...wow. You did an excellent job! I loved it so much. All of the characters, even the minor ones, shone in their own way, the battle scenes were intense, intricate and exciting, and you even left a bit of an opening for a sequel (if you so desire to write one...). Awesome! |
b 3/20/10 . chapter 38 wow, Jedi in full action! Good job! I must say the ending is quite sad because almost everyone died, even mace and sabe...
But I love how you illustrate the short friendship between Obi Wan and the soider..I forget his name,,anyways..You show that Jedi is not only a Jedi, but also a man. |
Cre Ookami 12/31/09 . chapter 38Wow. Just... wow. That was... I've never read anything like it. The language flowed like poety, so beautiful. I'm speachless, it's so wonderful. Great job. |
 Witchy-grrl 7/11/09 . chapter 38::APPLAUSEAPPLAUSEAPPLAUSE::
This has to be the most thorough, intense, no-holds-barred SW alternate universe I've ever read. O.O
I'm simply flabbergasted at your ability to tell a story, and how everything unraveled at just the right time; that there's such optimism at the end was such a relief from the war's constant barrage of pain and violence. You achieved a brilliant AU, IMO, and though I was a bit skeptical at times (like Brummel/Sabe instantly falling in love?), your talent at weaving the tale kept me reading until the end.
DEFINITELY one of the best sagas I've ever read in ANY fandom universe. And my new favorite! :D |
Witchy-grrl 7/10/09 . chapter 29Oh good Lord, Sabe AND Crinnin AND Goren out for the count? You, dear author, are ruthless. But, such is war.
Your ability to write these battle scenes so vividly is insane. I could picture EVERYTHING, which is pretty hard, considering how I tend to zone out reading fight scenes. But this is just fantastic. O.O |
