Ouch! Dying... from... wonderfulness...

seriously tho, i love it. But u got me all choked up with "He wouldn’t abandon young Boba as he himself had been abandoned". The irony. :(

Very good. Kudos

Heehee, this is cute. :)
Poor Jango. Learned the hard way about diaper changings and 4 am feedings. *chuckle* The mighty hunter. *grin*
Though I think he realizes by the end that he did the right thing. The little squirt is gonna make him proud. *grin*

What can I say besides 'Absolutely Excellent'? Amazing work and one of the best pieces of Fanfic I've EVER read. Good Job
Infamous 6/5/02 . chapter 1
So even though I left my opinion on this story in Cassandra's review(the story that started this whole thing),I thought I would repeat myself here,in stating that this is one of my favorite Fett works even better as a short story or interlude to the larger part of your Fett series, allowing the reader to see more of the relationship between the father and son,if only Lucas had been so kind to elaborate, but I believe you have done a better by the looks of things you must have read the fight to survive book as well as the Jango/Zam one shot comic books(and Jango fett's open seasons),do they influence what you write greatly,or just a little?Oh yes,and as always please continue to write, you do it so well.

This is so sweet, and it really satisfied my hankering to know what kind of father Jango would make.

Oooh! Sweet. This is my favorite Star Wars fic so far. Good style; the only flaw I can find is that in the last paragraph the words "sleep/sleeping" turn up repeatedly. Perhaps you can rewrite those sentences a bit, but it's hard to find a different word for sleep that is satisfactory. - I admit I'm glad you wrote this story instead of my, my version would have turned out too fluffy. ;-) Poor Jango... sounds like he could have benefitted from a "Child Care for Dummies" datafile, or from attending one of those training courses for expectant mothers.*grins and chuckles* Yes, lil' Boba was very much an offspring desired by the parent - "custom-made", so to speak (ouch) - so Jango would never knowingly abuse him (apart from wanting to shape him into an improved version of Jango himself, but let's be frank, most parents aim for something similar, don't they?). But I like your take on the story that Jango first needs a bit of time to develop true fatherly feelings for this infant which was "not of woman born" (to quote Shakespeare) but delivered from a clonetank and dropped into Jango's lap without an instruction manual. These strong hands so used to bringing death now suddenly holding and soothing a small helpless infant... that's a picture that makes me smile. Without this backstory, the character of Jango Fett in Ep II would just have been another run-off-the-mill Big Bad Bountyhunter; but even though in the movie we never see him hug his son or ruffle Boba's hair, the softer side of Jango was there, between the lines, in glances or gestures. Too bad Mace Windu was so intend on executing a man in front of the son; a wounded man who had already been on the retreat and had lost his hand and weapon. Whatever happened to the Jedi virtue of mercy? Oh, well, I digress. - I'm not sure if this chapter should stand on its own, or if a sequel chapter is possible without ruining the mood and drifting off into fluff. But you brilliantly managed to bring out Boba Fett's softer side in Apollo's Bane and In The Name Of The Father, so I have confidence in you. :) I can't wait to see 12 month old Boba waddling about and Jango hastening to lock away all grenades and stuff! Or four year old lil' Boba wanting to play with Daddy's blaster. ;-) Although in the movie, Boba seemed like a very self-disciplined kid.

So Jango Fett has a softer side! Who knew? ;) I loved this-I never read Star Wars fanfic, but I couldn't pass this one up. Baby Boba sounds so cute, and I like your characterization of Jango. It seems in tune with what I saw in Episode II. Good work! D
Rainy7 5/26/02 . chapter 1
aww, cute! :)
CreedsGalBirdy 5/26/02 . chapter 1
I am so glad that you wrote this... and not me. You do it justice... I'd just make it sappy. :P
Starseeker 5/26/02 . chapter 1
Wow... this is a truly wonderful piece you've created here. I love how you manage to keep Jango in character (from what little Episode 2 gave us), while still capturing a softer side of the bounty hunter. Great way to show how the strong bond between father and son is already developing... makes me feel even worse for young Boba at the end of the movie... *sniff*

Keep it up! You're one of the few authors I've found who've managed to keep both Fetts in character, yet weave wonderful little stories! :) Oh, and thanks for that email update... I wasn't expecting that!
