I read this about ten months ago; thought it was beautiful then, think it's beautiful now. The characterisations of Draco and Harry are particularly exquisite; when I was a lad of their age, I could easily have fallen in love with either of them (mind you, when I was a lad of their age, love wasn't high on the agenda with the result that I wasn't as restrained in my desires as they managed to be - the first sign of a returned interest and it was passionate kissing coupled with hands tugging down trousers. Having said that, it was the long romantic and reasonably chaste courtship which provided the ongoing 15-year loving and passionate relationship...)

This is an amazing story. I love it!

But surely a Quidditch match where one is playing is the wrong place to be snogging? The person sitting next to me as I'm reading agrees.

I've been reading this over several days now, partly in London and partly in Oxford. A lovely experience - looking forward to the next "Checkmate" chapter... Cleverly plotted: you had us expecting the worst, yet wondering, wondering - and then we found out what Draco's scheme was in reality. A powerful twist, very imaginative, and high drama too. Above all, so richly reflecting the themes of good and evil in conflict and the transfiguring, redeeming power of love - which is at the heart of the Harry-Draco narrative. Thanks.

I would just like to say that this story is absolutely amazing ! I couldn't put it down! Everything was so believable and wow! I can't even put it into words. I really hope you continue writing and I also hope that one day I'll be as good as you :)

This story was beautiful. I'm reading it five years after it's been completed, and the story itself was a work of art.

I like the lyrics you have posted at the beginnings of each chapter. They fit very well with your fic.

It's nice to see that Harry has supportive friends, even if Ron will take a little convincing. And Seamus is great here for comic relief. I'm glad others can see the change in Draco and are willing to accept it.

A very beautiful and compelling story. I'm glad there was a happy ending for them both. The slow romance between Harry and Draco was well done, and incredibly sweet. I liked that that they didn't just fall into bed together like a lot of fics do. I really enjoyed reading this fic. Great job.

Wow. I found myself staying up until three in the morning to find out what happened next! I also ended up choosing this over the Harry Potter book I was re reading at the time! Thanks for an excellent read, I wish you'd do a sequel!

Third time reading this, it never gets old. When I need a cheer up, I read this. Such a beautiful and inspiring story. I truly loved every moment of reading it, all 3 times. I wish it could be made into a book, because I'd read it every night I bet! The best story on this entire site I believe! This fic really shows what Love is. Its perfect :)
