| Green Phire 6/25/12 . chapter 1 That was INSANELY beautiful. One of the most awe-inspiring and complete fanfics I've ever read, in all my 12 years of it. Adrenaline-inducing action, coupled with wonderful introspection, powerful emotional moments and even refreshing little doses of humour. Nothing's missing. I loved each and every word of it, though I have to single out the moment when both Mako and Korra were at their most vulnerable towards each other, and truly connected- Korra's reaction to Mako's emotional low and depiction of his worst fears was so genuine and heartfelt and touching, and incredibly true to her character that it blew not only Mako away, but me as well. Also...special props for perfectly describing Korra's entering the Avatar state- you made the feeling of absolute, raw power flowing through her really transcend your text, and what is more, you did it in such a beautiful, lyrical way- the added bonus of Korra feeling too much, for Mako's sake, and nothing, at the same time, cemented it. Simply mind-blowing. I'll be waiting and hoping to see if your muse inspires you to write more Makorra stories, especially since they've now -rightfully!- been confirmed to be canon, but no matter what...THANK YOU so much for writing this and for sharing your amazing talent in the service of the wonderful ship that is Makorra. Thank you! |
