I read through this whole story today. It is very true to the spirit of the original show! Also, being from the S.F. area originally, I liked your scene about going over the GG Bridge. :)

This was a wonderful chapter! Poor Davy, not only being far from home on Christmas Day but also finding out his father, the man he came all this way to find, had passed on. It is nice he has the guys but he has to be dying inside not getting to talk to his Mom on that day of all days! Thank you for sharing this story, I look forward to more!

Yeah! Another great chapter! Only the Monkees would end up squatters in a pad that was once owned by an opera singer, then her cat and finally Mr. Schneider! Lol I can't wait for more and to see if Davy finds his dad and who his dad is!

I love how quickly Peter recognized Mike's potential value to them. And YES...MIKE IS WITH THEM AT LAST...

Oh my gosh, I just found this and am absolutely loving it! I hope it is continued, I've always wondered what kind of backstory they'd have. And I'm really digging the Davy-Peter focus right now considering they're my two favorite Monkees.

I'm hopeful this is a long story about how the boys came together, AU style. This is a neat idea to start at the beginning of how it all started. Maybe they'll get lucky this time as they did in real life.
