really awesome story
i would really like to read more!

Eh...good writing and an interesting story as always...but I find myself not really wanting to read the rest. Like a lot of things in Naruto, the complete classification of anything and everything to do with his parents and ancestory is just a plot enforced bit of stupid.

Sasuke, last of his clan and considered important: allowed to do as he pleases, no special guard or anything, allowed to join the regular forces no problem.

Konohamaru, youngest child of his clan ( until Asuma knocks up Kurenai ) and the Third Hokages Grandson: Is allowed to know all about his heritage, personal tutors in the ninja arts well before he enters the academy, runs all over the place more or less unsupervised ( the fact that Kankuro would have beat the shit out of him if Naruto and Team 7 hadn't shown up supports this. )

Hell, I could list damn near every named ninja of Naruto's generation and their relative importance and relation to people who likely had/have enemies... Yet!

Naruto: Hails from a clan that founded a village that was closely allied to Konoha (and allowed to be destroyed. I'm behind on canon, but is that ever detailed?) Older relative was married to the founder of the village and also container of the 9-tails (apparently revered and treated normally), son of the last heir to the leadership of his clan (IIRC anyways, I might be mixing fanon in here) who happens to be really well known and also a 9-tails container (also well liked and treated normally) but...is apparently well known to be the container of the 9-tails despite laws restricting that knowledge, isn't allowed to know anything at all about his parents for his own good (despite the fact that anyone that spent 1 minute around his mother could tell he's her son) and is more or less universally treated poorly but not allowed to know why (re-reading the manga it seems the Third just patted him on the head and said it couldn't possibly be that bad. Those are some SERIOUS rose-tinted glasses the old dude is wearing)

tl;dr Beyond being lolwtfbbq - tastic what possible good reason is there to keep Naruto in the dark about his parents/ancestory? At the very least after he found out about the 9-tails and didn't run around screaming about it a the top of his lungs you'd think he could be entrusted with knowing who his own parents are.

This whole longinsh rambling rant is mostly why I stop reading fics like this when you get the Mighty Council making sure all information is kept from Naruto, despite everyone else and their mother knowing ( and more often than not casually mentioned to younger members amongst clans. But Shhhhh! It's a seeeeecret! )

I love how Sakura's mother changes her tune when the possibility of Naruto being the Shodai's great grandson comes up.
