SarahZahde 1/4/13 . chapter 1UGH I KNOW, RIGHT! Thank you for writing this, it totally fixes that silly ending for me. It's like they just stuck in some pretty girl for Miles to like for the sole purpose of giving him someone to like who wasn't Allie. What gives? Anyway, nice job on the writing-the only thing I would say would be to watch your verb tense, but that wasn't too distracting, really, since the Narrator voice was pretty strong. |
FatesMistake 8/15/12 . chapter 1It's the over-the-top lack of confidence that makes him seem manlier. Butch guys like Will, or even Marco, always turn out to be really insecure, and generally have a low IQ. Guys who are willing to show their insecurities, or even just admit they have them, like Will did, are guys who crave connection. But guys like Miles, who fear even doing that much, are the ones who are smart enough to know there are repercussions they haven't...foreseen ;p. The geeky weird ones are always the ones to watch for, because they're the ones who will stick up when they have to, but know when to back down to save you, and them, for another day. |
scohiniluver 8/14/12 . chapter 1Cute yeah I read the book first so I knew that Allie and Will were going to get together. But if i hadn't i would thought miles and Allie would have gotten together. The reason Will was OK with Gen because he liked Allie. |
LaVaLiCiOuS 7/2/12 . chapter 1It really does seem like Miles and Allie would see eye-to-eye on more things. And Will... did seem a little weird. I thought that Miles was supposed to be depicted as sort of weird and antisocial, but I would choose Miles over Will on a heartbeat. So... good job. :) |
Hugs-n-Symmetry 6/19/12 . chapter 1I like this alot, definitely how the movie should have ended! Instead of that typical disney ending... But anyway, great job. (: |
mshutts 5/14/12 . chapter 1I just finished watching the movie myself and wanted to see if anyone had written anything about it. And I have to say, I totally agree with you. Her ending up with Will and Will being her knight in shining armor was ridiculous. You're absolutely right, he did nothing that was worthwhile except for win a few football games. I mean, he was nice, but seriously, he was practically cheating on Gen since Allie showed up. And don't even get me started on Will's 'pep talks' to the football team. Those had to be some of the worst motivational speeches I have ever heard. In any event, thank you so much for writing this. I'm thinking of making it the new official ending in my mind. |
Ahc Hannah 5/12/12 . chapter 1"I liked Miles WAY more than Will, who was a nice guy but there wasn't much to him." I am in complete agreement. In the book, Will was fine and there was no Miles, but in the movieā¦. Miles is just awesome. |
Adelina Le Morte March 4/24/12 . chapter 1Yay! An Allie/Miles story! I had no idea anyone else except for me was writing these! (I just posted the first chapter of one like a day ago, thinking no one else had used that pairing yet, since for some reason this story never came up in my "Avalon High" fanfiction search.) The only non-Will/Allie pairing I could find stories for were Marco/Allie. I actually really love Will/Allie, but I think that's because I read the book first and there WAS no Miles in the book, cuz the teacher was Merlin and Marco was Mordred, but I also as of lately have been thinking she and Miles would have been a great couple in the film, since they were best friends and I really like the idea of them together too. Anyway, this was a great story. Only two little things. I'm pretty sure it's "Jen" not "Gen", and a couple of times in this story you went randomly back and forth from past-tense first person to present-tense first person in the Point Of View. Aside from that, exellent story! Loved it. |
