AliceFray 5/9/13 . chapter 4I like this story. It really gripped me from the first chapter. I find myself kind of pitying Charley but to me, that's a good sign. I really like when I can feel for the characters. I'm glad you're on this site and I hope you continue to build up this fandom with more stories! :) |
PCDVD 4/30/13 . chapter 4 WOW! I review this, go to sleep and next morning here I have the next chapter. Simply delicious surprise! Chilling scene with Jerry, Charley and his father: "You know Charley. I like to hunt, but this was too easy. I should thank you." In this particular situation perhaps it is Charley who should be thanking him. Also this complex play of secrets between Ed and Charley and the running scene. Just great! Can't wait to get more! |
melisanda 4/30/13 . chapter 4Awesome! You return at last with great, action filled chapter. First scene with Charley's dad and Jerry – great and insightful. Poor Charley. You take some of your own ideas, some from the movie and give it a new spin. I liked how in this story Charley tried to end his friendship with Ed only to protect him. Also: "Charley! What the hell is wrong with you?" Ed yelled. A loud growl roared behind him and he nervously turned to the sound. When he saw the creatures face Ed had very little to say. "Holy shit." With that he took of down the street as well. LOL! Jerry seems to be having a great fun. And so are we, your readers. |
PCDVD 4/29/13 . chapter 3 Just my luck. When I finally found a good Fright Night fic it appears to be abandoned. I skim through pages after pages of Mary Sues and gay orgies and then I get to this diamond. Finally a fanfiction author who can and wants to write something besides romances. It's sad how rare that is. It's great how you started from Charley's childhood and included Jerry's and Charley's memories. It really adds some back story. Story that is suspenseful, exciting, and good in showing characters. I really can't wait to see what happens next, and judging by amount of reviews, I'm not alone. This story shines like a true gem and it shouldn't, it simply can't end on just three chapters. Come on author, don't leave us hanging! THIS STORY IS TOO GOOD TO END NOW! DON'T LEAVE US LIKE THIS! DON'T ABANDON THIS FIC! |
Mw 2/25/13 . chapter 3 A really good story twist. I'm really interested in seeing where it continues. |

Ashley 12/18/12 . chapter 1 For sure one of the best stories about Fright Night. Your writing style flows nicely and calls on the reader's thirst for more. I thought bright the idea of reconstituting Charley's childhood, as well as the events prior to those shown in the movie. This story is too good to be dropped out of the blue. I miss stories having as its protagonist Charley Brewster. My only complaint is the formatting of text. Its paragraphs are too long sometimes, and you do not put dialogues in separate places, it makes reading a bit tricky. |
Lara F 7/23/12 . chapter 1I found out this storytelling a while ago and I'm enjoying what I have read . One of the highlights is that you show us the early life of Charlie Brewster and chronicles the events firmly . I like that . I like the fact you are not simply copying scenes and dialogues from the movie , you are creating your own , it requires hard work and I cherish that . |
melisanda 7/16/12 . chapter 3Another good, suspenseful, long chapter. Which ended, of course in the most interesting possible moment, but hey. I only hope we will not have to wait this long for a continuation. |
Ralai 7/16/12 . chapter 3I'm so in love with your story! My God! Please, continue. |
AwesomePeopleDoingAwesomeThing 6/29/12 . chapter 2Iiiintereeesting. I like the background on Charley |
anon 6/25/12 . chapter 2 UPDATE! There is not enough Jerry/Charley. I need it! |
melisanda 5/29/12 . chapter 2 Good update! Nice back story on Charlie and Jerry. I hope we will not have to wait this long for next chapter. |
awj 5/22/12 . chapter 2 Great an update! Well written part about Jerry's memories and feeding on that family. Waiting for what goes next! |
bookworm 5/12/12 . chapter 1 Good start! I like how you began with the part about Charley's father and his mother's trouble with finding work. Sad and true. The part with Charley meeting Jerry was great. Chilling yet sensible. I'm confused about this: does Jane know Jerry is a vampire? |
