I love this! I was so hoping that you would have Morgana make it to Camelot and find out that Merlin was dead. If you ever add to this I will definitely be reading it. :)

Bwahahaha! I like where this is going. Well, not "like" so much as hooked. It's a well written world gone wrong, the motivations are consistent with the characters.

In reply to Sarah James's review, I think the fact that it is mentioned that this is a Dark!Merlin fic pretty much sums up the whole OOC.

Sorry, just felt the need to defend this awesome one. I loved it. Heartbreaking, angsty - I LOVED IT!

How could Gwaine shoot Merlin like that? He was supposed to be his best friend. It doesn't make sense. I thought it was a good twist though, I had expected it to be a guard or, in hindsight, even Arthur. Needless to say that if this is how Arthur becomes, I will hunt him down and shoot him myself - well, through the fandom of course.

Well, in summary, I thought this was a very well written fic, and I enjoyed it very very very much. Keep up the good work, and I hope to see more from you in the future!

Hmm, Merlin would NEVER had let himself be killed; I'm not saying he would do the whole 'destruction of Camelot' thing, but he would have escaped and left Camelot.

A bit too OOC; perhaps you should change your summary?

I want very badly to kill this Arthur. I'm talking about a violent, VIOLENT death, after months of torture and pain. And I want him to know who Merlin really was and what he had done for him before he dies. Violently. Am I evil?

And to think I usually like Arthur...

What? No! I think Arthur is being quite reasonable in his own not-so-bright way. I mean, he tries, you know?

Poor, sort of stupid Arthur.

And Merlin. Yeah. Poor him too.

And I loved Morgana's pov with the pain in her back, wanting to talk to EMrys.

I think, though, the part that was the most effective was Gwaine shooting Merlin. Merlin was using magic, blowing people back, and Gwaine shot him. And that hurts.

Now, however, I am faced with a conundrum! Do I add this to the "Dark Merlin" community, or the "Reveals gone bad" community, hmm?
