Daniel Thomas Stack 2008-05-11 ch 134, anon.	abuseGood rant. Laws right now are rather ridiculous. Really laws should be restrained to where people are getting hurt. While Jeffs communities do have clear evidence of people getting hurt it's because of allot of things that go on that have almost nothing to do with the polygamy. Really any law that extends into the bedroom of a loving family is going too far. Note I said loving there are clear differences between a loving and nurturing family and an abusive situation. I drop in my E-Mail with my comments and I could see flames from that misconception already. Wish I didn't have to wait on the next bits of Queen Rat but you can't read what isn't typed yet. Thanks for continuing to give time to both stories. Oh one other thing will there really be a family with 2 second wives soon? I know it looks like there already is but I could see it as a place for Japan to say it's too far. Just an additional note it's almost too quiet at the moment as far as potential conflicts and I can't help but wonder if the Phoenix may be up to something. Not unless you went around refering to your college teachers as John Proffesor, or something like that. As for your point about legalizing it, yeah. I'm fully in favor of that. The more risk something carries, the more people will do it in order to get that rush of doing something unlawful/dangerous. If you look at countries that have legalized certain "dangerous" acts, the rates of those related accidents are much lower than ours. It's the having sex with your own children that I'm against. Even without the various moral attachements, it's just wrong from a basic view point. You want your legacy to live on, correct? So you should be against making potentially lethal genetic impurities more common amongst those that will be carrying your legacy. Bottleneck effect does not equal a good survival rate for people. Learn from our mistakes with the cheetahs! Also, if you're going to have sex with a child, at least let them know what they're getting into. Letting someone be taken advantage of is just wrong. If it's something that both parties are equally together in, then I have no real problem. A child and an adult are in love? Really, truthfully in love with a full knowledge of the potential consequences? Go for it. I'm in full support of people doing what they wish IF they are mindful of the consequences and of others. If nobody gets hurt, I don't see the problem.

Maybe influencing that reality (Harry/Hermione/Luna for example!) Just a plotline to think about! ;-) dennisud

(steps up on own soapbox) As for the issue of polygamy, cults, and sexual practices, I would have to agree with your assessment of this group to some extent. The only thing missing for an actual cult would be a form of spiritual or religious belief, without which the 'Family' is little more than a group of like minded people who associate with eachother, a clique. Yes, a large one, but still so. As for the issue in reality, the morals of homosexuality, polygamy, etc. are one that has been argued for centuries. I have my belief in what is right (heterosexual monogamy) and can't manage to convince you in this short a space. During the greco-prussian war, the Greeks, who had constant homosexual adulteries but were heterosexual in marriage, found the polygamy of the Persians disgusting. Twisted, no? That isn't to say there isn't a right or wrong on the issue, simply that it will probably stay an issue for a long, long time, but one can hope. From the offices (and podium) of AMWOOD co
Dragon Man 180 2008-05-09 ch 134,	abuseWell, if you ever get in the running for a public office I'll vote for you so you can legalize Polygamy. I loved the scene with Shingi, she's adorable! I would like to see a few chapters focusing on her, as the baby of the family she hasn't gotten much time in the spotlight compared to her siblings. Even just a single chapter devoted to her average day would be fun. I'm glad Suki is in, plus the Lo Shan and Mei Lin situation is resolved.

Daniel Thomas Stack 2008-04-26 ch 133, anon.	abuseI like this whole second wife business it's really fun with all the eternal oaths and all. I also like how the focus is now on the new crew. When will you do another chapter that gets back to whomever was behind putting Happosai in that house with his pre-pubescent batteries? And was there really a connection between him and the Ninja attack? There are not few loose ends that might have been lost in the shuffle. I almost didn't read this story to see anything good in it. The first two books are painfully digital. You want a change it's changed the only character with depth before the last two chapters of book two was the Doctor. It would be really nice if you would at least re-read those parts so you can see what I mean and maybe find ways to rewrite them so they don't remain a barrier preventing someone from finding the rest of this great saga. Really if it wasn't for my having read Queen Rat first the poor quality of the first chapters would have been enough for me to question anyone saying something good about anything you had written. Dragon Man 180 2008-04-16 ch 133,	abuseI like this side story! It's interesting. I'm glad Nodoka is considering Robert's advice, I don't want to see her alone when he inevitably passes on. I can't wait to see Haya, Dai, and Suki working together against something one Suki is up to their level.
