Elizabeth Mary Holmes 3/1/13 . chapter 1A lovely and cute OS, thanks a lot. |
Eliza Donelittle 10/26/12 . chapter 1I think that this is a great little light hearted story, very Poirotish but letting the reader see Poirot and Hastings in a new light. Poirot's dialogue seems very authentic. Couple of very minor quibbles. "the time- what is the time? Am I to be late?" - this sounds more like something that Poirot would say rather than Hastings. And this piece of dialogue - "What of your appointment?" Poirot asked. Hastings hardly needed to think to answer that question. "To hell with it." Poirot grinned, and tangled a hand in his tie once more, pulling Hastings closer. I wasn't sure who was meant to be saying "To hell with it." At first I thought it was Poirot and then decided it was Hastings. If it was Hastings, I think it should have been with the previous sentence or on a separate line to make it clearer. But overall a sweet little story that I greatly enjoyed. I'd like to read some more of your stories. |
