wow. I think this is the first time I've ever kind of liked Fernand. You make him a really interesting character. It's really amusing how he's so jealous of Edmond and yet so attached to him.

HAHAHA! This is great. Loved how Edmond gets by by the tip of his teeth and he can be happy about it. While the movie (and the book) is all about the revenge, it also does a darn good job showing how much Edmond develops as a character at how cynical he's become when he escapes.
