Bravo! Your stories are wonderful! You can certainly flip a phrase with the best of them, and I love your POV style. Please keep posting. Your short vignettes are full of lovely characterization. You've also captured the ineffable quality of the Ed/Martha relationship, and 'taming the tiger' is exactly how someone like Ed would characterize the Captain-Carolyn dynamic.
